New York police remove 3 rappers from music festival

The New York Times reports three drill rappers have been removed from the Rolling Loud music festival this weekend after concerns were raised by the New York Police Department. The NYC-based 22Gz, Sha Ek and Ron Suno will no longer perform at Citi Field during the three-day event, which will be headlined by Nicki Minaj, Future and A$AP Rocky. 22Gz was among five rappers previously pulled from Rolling Loud New York in 2019 over “public safety concerns.” According to Vulture, 22Gz was arrested earlier this year outside Hot 97′s Summer Jam

The long-postponed opening of Tokyo Disneyland’s Beauty and the Beast themed area is now going forward, with the media invited to an official unveiling Friday.

The 47,000 m2 (approx. 506,000 sq ft) area, a sub-section of Fantasyland, that features attractions based on Disney’s 1991 “Beauty and the Beast” and 2014″Big Hero 6″ films, will open on Monday, Sept. 28. A theater also built in the new area will still remain shut, however.

Temperature checks and social distancing rules will be in place to ensure visitor safety. Also, to ride the new attractions visitors will have to reserve a time slot

DECATUR — The latest musical presented by Mid-Summer Moon Productions is truly a family show.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” will be on stage Friday through Sunday, Sept. 16-18, at the Decatur Civic Center.

The story is told of a rich, yet arrogant, man who is cast under a spell because of his selfishness.

“It’s one of my favorites,” said director Maria Lightner. “I love the theme; not judging someone by their outward appearance, but looking inside of their true beauty.”
